Max Hoult elevated to VFL list
25/06/2026
The Sandringham Football Club is pleased to announce that train-on player Max Hoult has been elevated to the club's VFL list.
After impressing during pre-season and maintaining a consistent block of form in the first half of the year in the VAFA, Hoult has earned the honour of wearing the yellow, black and blue for the remainder of the 2026 season. Hoult’s elevation to the VFL list is a testament to the standards he has set, his continued determination and his tenacity.
Hoult represented the Sandringham Dragons in 2024, playing seven games and kicking nine goals. His most notable game was against the Eastern Ranges in Round 13, where he kicked three goals. In that same year, he also played seven games for St Bedes/Mentone Tigers AFC (VAFA), six of which were in the Senior Men's side, and kicked six goals.
Currently playing for Beaumaris (VAFA), Hoult’s most recent appearance saw him kick four goals and receive a best-player nomination. So far in 2026, he's kicked 22 goals in just eight games.
A versatile and composed forward, Hoult brings a strong work ethic, a competitive edge, energy and depth to the Sandringham list.
Elevating train-on players to the VFL list is a meaningful milestone, showcasing the belief and value the club sees in their growth. Hoult’s elevation is a more than deserved reward for the high standards he continues to set.
Reflecting on his signing, Hoult said,
“I’m very thankful for the opportunity, and I’m looking forward to the latter half of the season with this group!”
We are excited to see what Max will bring to the side for the remainder of the season!
