Harrop and Sutherland elevated to VFL list
04/06/2026
The Sandringham Football Club is pleased to announce that train-on players Charlie Harrop and Noah Sutherland have been elevated to the club's VFL list.
After impressing throughout the pre-season period, both players have earned their place on the list through their commitment, consistency and strong performances on the field at training. Their elevations reflect the effort they have put into the program and the progress they have made since arriving at the club.
Harrop arrives following an impressive junior pathway that included captaincy of Haileybury College's APS premiership-winning side, while also representing Vic Metro and the Sandringham Dragons during his draft year. A high-work-rate forward known for his strong leading patterns, marking ability and reliable ball use, Harrop consistently finds ways to impact games through his competitiveness and football IQ.
Sutherland joins the main squad after continuing his football development at the Caulfield Grammarians. A composed and athletic defender, Sutherland has built a strong reputation for his intercept marking, clean ball use and ability to transition the ball from defence into attack. His consistent performances and willingness to learn have seen him steadily progress through the ranks and earn his opportunity at VFL level.
The pair have embraced every opportunity presented to them, earning the respect of coaches and teammates through their work ethic and professionalism. Their addition further strengthens the club's playing group heading into the season.
Elevating train-on players to the VFL list is always a rewarding moment, and Charlie and Noah have thoroughly deserved their opportunities through the dedication they have shown both on and off the field.
