Zebs announce leadership group with Hodder re-appointed as Captain for 2026 season

Sandringham Football Club is proud to announce its VFLW leadership group for the upcoming VFLW season. This group of players brings a tremendous amount of experience that will set the team up well for the year. 

We are proud to announce that Grace Hodder will continue with the captaincy role after setting the bar with her professionalism, commitment and ability to connect the group both on and off the field. 

Hodder will be closely supported by vice-captains Ari Clarke and Deanna Jolliffe. These players bring not only their own AFLW experience, values and work ethic, but also the support that will continue to connect the team.

The leadership group will feature some of our new, experienced players from AFLW clubs in Kristy Stratton and Sophie Casey, as well as some emerging leaders and familiar faces in Isobel Hartog and Zoe Barbakos.

We look forward to seeing the leadership group continue to set high standards for the club and lead the side through the 2026 VFLW season. 

Round 1 kicks off against Essendon on Saturday 16 May at 12:05pm at Wilson Storage Trevor Barker Beach Oval.
