Randall, Woodford & Shepherd sign on
06/02/2025
Brooke Randall, Erin Woodford and Emily Shepherd will all be new additions to the Sandringham Zebras’ VFLW side after signing for 2025.
Brooke Randall
Randall joins us from Melbourne University Football Club, where she's played over 100 games.
Playing off halfback, her biggest asset to the team is her ability to switch the play in order to transition from defence to offence. Randall also works well in tight spaces and constantly finds a way to dodge and weave her way out of heavy traffic.
The experienced defender will be a great addition to the Zebras’ backline in 2025 and we can’t wait to see her in action.
Erin Woodford
After spending the last two seasons with Box Hill in the VFLW, Woodford has crossed over to the Zebras, where the medium sized defender will look to lock down her opponents on a weekly basis.
She isn't afraid to put her body on the line in pursuit of the ball, and as she can play on both small and tall forwards, her versatility will be a great asset to the team. She is known for her rebounding, both with her long kicks down the ground, and her running ability out of defence.
Woodford is a great interceptor of the footy, and we’re eager to see her cut off the opposition's attack in the Sandringham colours this season.
Emily Shepherd
Shepherd has spent the last three seasons in the VFLW with Port Melbourne, Collingwood and most recently Box Hill.
She’s been able to have a big impact in the midfield, with a strong penetrating kick and clean hands being her standout skills. Shepherd also has a great overhead mark and can win the football at ground level, giving her the ability to go forward and make an impact on the game and scoreboard.
We’re excited to have her onboard and looking forward to seeing her strong influence on and off the field.
