The Sandringham Zebras are delighted to announce the signings of three new players for this season.
Charlie Rozenes
A speedy midfielder with high footy IQ and a strong goal sense sums up Charlie Rozenes perfectly.
After spending all of 2024 with the Sandringham Dragons, Rozenes got off to a great start to the 2025 season where he averaged 17 disposals, five tackles and a goal a game in just two matches.
He’ll be a perfect addition to the Zebras’ this year and we can’t wait to see him run out in the yellow, black and blue.
Jez Rigoni
The midfield gets another addition, this time in the form of Jez Rigoni.
In 2024 Rigoni was with the Murray Bushrangers before crossing to the Oakleigh Chargers this year, where in three games he averaged 15 disposals, two tackles and three marks.
In round four Rigoni made his Zebras debut where he had 11 disposals and four marks in an 18-point win against Footscray.
We look forward to seeing more of Rigoni at Sandringham throughout the season.
William Johnson
Having spent the last six seasons playing in Queensland, William Johnson has made the move to Melbourne where he will be another great addition to the midfield.
Johnson has already played three games for the Zebs this season, averaging 14 disposals, six marks and two tackles.
His standout performance came against Richmond in round two, where he had 15 touches, three marks, three tackles, two clearances and an insane goal.
Johnson has already made a strong start to the season and we’re excited to see him continue to rack up the possessions in the midfield.
