Three new signings complete our 2022 list

Three more players have signed with the Zebras for the 2022 VFL season, completing our 2022 playing list.

Lewis Diggins, Joe Nowell and Blake Watson have signed with the Sandringham Football Club for 2022.

Diggins joins us in 2022 after previously being listed with Richmond VFL and playing locally with Beaumaris FC. Diggins will add power and strength to the Sandringham midfield, looking to build on his previous years of VFL experience. He is a big bodied midfielder who will push into the forward line when needed. We look forward to seeing Diggins in Zebras colours this year. 

Nowell joins us as another former Dragon, exiting their NAB League program. He is a 199cm forward who can also play as a ruckman. Nowell has played this role both for the Sandringham Dragons, as well as his local club Ormond. He has a great left foot kick and is strong overhead. We look forward to seeing Nowell develop in 2022. 

Watson is new to VFL at 22 years of age. He plays his local football with Whittlesea in the Northern Football League, where he featured in their best players seven times in 2021. Watson has grown into a prominent, hard at the ball midfielder in the NFL, as we have seen throughout pre-season at the Zebras. We look forward to seeing what Blake can add in 2022.
