Sandringham and 88.3 Southern FM launch media partnership for 2019
Sandringham Football Club is delighted to announce that 8 of its Hard Yakka / Totally Workwear VFL home games will be broadcast on community radio station Southern FM.
Speaking on Southern FM (88.3) earlier today, Sandringham’s Chief Executive Officer joined the panel to announce the inaugural radio broadcasting partnership.
“I am extremely pleased to share the news that the Sandringham Football Club have recently aligned with Southern FM, in a partnership that will see all 7 Hard Yakka / Totally Workwear VFL home games at Wilson Storage Trevor Barker Beach Oval, Sandringham, and 1 Hard Yakka / Totally Workwear VFL home game at RSEA Park, Moorabbin, broadcast on this fantastic community radio station”, Mr Cannizzo explained.
“To be able to have Bayside’s premier radio station partner with the Club is a fantastic opportunity for exposure of not only this great competition but also this proud and longstanding Club and all that it offers its community.”
In addition to the broadcasting of the 8 Hard Yakka / Totally Workwear VFL home games, Southern FM will also broadcast any finals matches that Sandringham are involved in.
Southern FM President Cameron Heyde spoke and expressed his appreciation of the launch of a new partnership.
“Our agreement with the Sandringham Football Club marks the beginning of a new partnership for the VFL and Southern FM. Southern FM looks forward to broadcasting Sandringham matches throughout the year, and providing other anecdotes to assist the Sandringham Football Club in celebrating its 90th year of being involved in local footy,” Mr Heyde said.
Southern FM's first broadcast for Sandringham will be the Round 3 home game vs Williamstown on Easter Sunday (21 April) at Wilson Storage Trevor Barker Beach Oval.
