Peacock joins the Zebs for 2027

Sandringham Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of Jye Peacock ahead of the 2027 VFL season.

Peacock, a 22-year-old midfielder, joins the Zebs with previous VFL experience at Box Hill, having played three games across an injury interrupted three seasons with the Hawks between 2024 and 2026.

As a junior, Peacock enjoyed a brilliant campaign as a top-age prospect in the Talent League, featuring 14 times for Eastern Ranges in 2022 where he averaged 19.4 disposals and 3.9 tackles as a tough and tenacious on-baller.

Appearing in the best seven times from those 14 games, Peacock’s strength in contested situations was lauded, while his ability to fashion a disposal in deep congestion was listed among the strengths in his game.

More recently, Peacock has plied his trade at local level for Eastern Football League Division 1 side Mooroolbark, playing nine games this season and kicking seven goals to be named among the best on three occasions, the highlight of those performances being his 36 disposals, 22 contested possessions, 12 clearances and 10 tackles against Beaconsfield in Round 5.

Named in the EFL Division 1 Team of the Year in 2024, the same year he was named Mooroolbark’s Most Determined, Peacock has also been a member of the Mustangs’ leadership group for the past two years, with his talents on the field supplemented by his character off it.
