Lachlan Riley joins the Zebs

Lachlan Riley has made the move around the bay from Frankston to Wilson Storage Trevor Barker Beach Oval to play with the Zebs in 2026. 

Riley enters his fifth VFL season in 2026 and brings over 50 games' of VFL experience. He played his first game for the Dolphins in Round 12, 2022 and finished with nine games for the season, followed by 17 games in 2023. He had some big games in 2024 against Casey (23 disposals, six tackles) and Port Melbourne (22 disposals, five tackles) and played a further 12 VFL games in 2025, including three finals. Riley also played three games for Old Haileybury in the VAFA Premier Men's competition in 2025.

Riley’s talent was recognised in 2022 with a Rising Star nomination after a Best on Ground performance against Old Carey in the VAFA. He is known for his dedication, drive and commitment to be the best footballer he can be.

Riley spoke of joining the Zebs,

Riley's agility and athleticism, along with his decision making, kicking skills and attack on the ball make him a valuable addition to the Zebs' line up and we can't wait to see him in action in 2026!
