Billy Johnson re-signs!

The Sandringham Football Club is pleased to announce that William Johnson has re-signed for the 2026 season!

Johnson made the move from Brisbane to Melbourne earlier this year to join the Zebras and quickly settled into life in the yellow, black, and blue. Making his VFL debut in Round two, he impressed straight away with 15 disposals and a memorable goal, setting the tone for a consistent first season.

Across 14 games in 2025, he averaged 12.1 disposals, showcasing his toughness around the contest and his ability to push forward and hit the scoreboard. A hungry competitor and hard worker around the ground, he has already established himself as an important contributor to the Zebs midfield.

Reflecting on his debut season, Johnson said,

“Everyone at the club has made me feel so welcomed since joining earlier this year. It was a big move for me and I’ve loved every moment of being involved with the club. We have a great group, and I can’t wait to be part of this next chapter!”
