Jack Cheep re-signs for 2026
09/01/2026
The Sandringham Football Club is excited to announce that Jack Cheep has re-signed for the 2026 VFL season.
Cheep joined the Zebs in 2025 and made his VFL debut in round two against Richmond, in a composed first outing at the level. He went on to play three games across the season, continuing to develop his role within the side.
A versatile tall who can play at either end of the ground, Cheep brings flexibility and a strong football IQ to our line up. His ability to compete aerially, read the play and provide leadership makes him a valuable asset across key position roles.
Before arriving at Sandringham, Cheep played with the Sandringham Dragons in 2024. He represented the VAFA in the Big V Under 19s against Bendigo, where he was awarded the Spirit of the Big V Award, recognising his sportsmanship and team-first approach. He was also a finalist for the Sherrin 2025 VAFA Goal of the Year, highlighting his ability to produce exciting and quality football moments.
Speaking on his re-signing, Cheep said,
"I'm super grateful to be part of the Zebs for 2026. We've got a great group of coaches and an even better group of lads. I'm looking forward to a huge 2026!"
We’re excited to see Cheepy continue his development in the yellow, black and blue in 2026!
