Zoe Barbakos re-signs for 2026

The Sandringham Football Club is pleased to confirm that Zoe Barbakos has re-signed for the 2026 VFLW season.

Barbakos joined the Sandringham Football Club in 2024, returning for her third consecutive season this year.

She came from the Sandringham Dragons where she showcased her incredible speed and a fierce competitiveness. She scored eight goals during her NAB League Girls season and added three more for Vic Metro against Vic Country. Barbakos was then picked up by Hawthorn AFLW in 2022 and scored two goals in her first AFLW season.

She had an exceptional game in Round 3 last year against Carlton, finishing with 18 disposals and 11 tackles, showing her dominating pressure and effort throughout the game.  

Speaking on her signing, Barbakos said,

"I’m thrilled to be signed with Sandy Zebs for 2026. There’s plenty to look forward to and I’m excited for the year ahead."

We are looking forward to having Zoe back on board for the 2026 campaign!
