Mackenzie Williams joins the Zebs for 2026

The Sandringham Football Club is pleased to confirm that Mackenzie Williams has signed with the Zebs for the 2026 VFLW season.

Williams is joining the Zebs off the back of a successful first year with the Casey Demons in their VFLW program, playing seven games for the club over the 2025 season.

The young defender began her football career back home in Tasmania, having the rare opportunity to pull on the Allies jumper and run out for eight games. Between 2022 and 2024, Williams played 31 games for the Devils in the Coates Talent League, with 10 best-player appearances and two goals to her credit.

Williams has built the foundations of her game around being a strong and reliable defender in the back half. She is best known for her ability to rebound quickly and cut through the opposing team's forward pressure, turning the other team's forward-half pressure into attacking opportunities.

Reflecting on her signing, Williams said,

“I’m thrilled to be joining the Sandy Zebs for the 2026 season! I'm looking forward to contributing to a great team culture and learning from such an experienced coaching group, and I'm excited to keep developing and take my game to the next level.”
