Sandringham Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of Harrison Jones ahead of the 2027 VFL season.
Jones, a 188cm forward, joins the Zebras from rival VFL outfit Frankston, where he played 25 games across the past three seasons, booting 30 goals as a versatile threat inside forward 50.
Lining up for the Dolphins 13 times in the 2026 season, Jones managed 13 goals in what was a consistent campaign in front of the big sticks, earning a spot in Frankston’s Wildcard Final line up against Sydney.
A powerful player, Jones has shown flashes of brilliance in his young career to date at VFL, with hauls of four and three against Collingwood and Port Melbourne, respectively, last season.
The key forward shone throughout his junior career, too, kicking 20 goals from 10 games in his top age Talent League season in 2022, including three hauls of five goals, helping the Dandenong Stingrays to a Grand Final appearance and eventual runner up finish.
Formerly lining up for Old Haileybury under then-Bloods coach and current Sandringham Head Coach Daniel Ward, Jones dominated at local level in 2024, booting 14 goals in his sole under-19 outing against Fitzroy before being promoted to the senior side, where he kicked a remarkable 29 goals from 10 games in a brilliant campaign, including four in the Grand Final as the Bloods claimed the Premier B title.
Turning out for Mt Eliza in the Mornington Peninsula Football Netball League this season, the young gun made an eye-catching debut, kicking four goals in his first outing for the club, though would only appear once more for the season.
With plenty of presence up forward and the ability to win the ball both in the air and on the ground, Jones looks set to become a focal point of the Zebras’ attack next season, and is excited to get his journey underway at Wilson Storage Trevor Barker Beach Oval.
