Gedi signs on for 2026

Sandringham is thrilled to announce it has secured the services of Jess Gedi for the 2026 VFL season, with the former VFL Blue set to call Wilson Storage Trevor Barker Beach Oval home this year.
Debuting at VFL level for Carlton in 2024, Gedi played two games in the navy blue, averaging 13 disposals while showcasing his trademark pace and pressure with eight tackles in his first outing.
Standing at 172cm and with the ability to play in multiple positions, Gedi lined up at either end of the ground while also being named on the wing at various stages last season for Northern Football League division one side Heidelberg, highlighting the versatility he will bring to the Zebs.
Gedi knows how to win, too, having featured in Heidelberg’s senior premiership sides in each of the past three seasons, while also being named in the Tigers’ best in the 2022 Under-19.5 grand final loss to Montmorency.
At just 22 years of age, Gedi adds to a youthful Sandringham line-up in 2026, and can’t wait to pull on the black, yellow and blue.
“I'm blessed to have the opportunity to start a new chapter at a great club with amazing people and great history. I'm keen to crack in and see what we can achieve in 2026!”
