Watson re-appointed Captain as leadership group announced

Sandringham Football Club is proud to announce its leadership group for the upcoming VFL season, with Blake Watson re-appointed as captain.

Watson’s leadership, professionalism and commitment to the club have made him a respected figure both on and off the field. After guiding the team with passion and determination, he will again lead the side as captain heading into the new season.

Supporting Watson will be a strong group of vice-captains, with Ben Stephenson, Mitch Ryan and Ethan Williams appointed to the roles. Each player brings their own leadership qualities, experience and work ethic, providing valuable support to Watson and the playing group.

The club has also named an extended leadership group consisting of Josh Hutchings, Kynan Brown, Brodie Findlay and Billy Johnson. The quartet have consistently demonstrated strong standards, team-first attitudes and a willingness to lead by example.

The leadership group reflects a great balance of experience, new faces, character and commitment, and will play an important role in driving the club’s culture and standards throughout the season.

The club congratulates all players on their appointments and looks forward to seeing the group lead the team with pride in the year ahead.

Round 1 kicks off next weekend at home against Port Melbourne at 2:05pm.
