Double boost: Piper Phelan and Chloe Saultry Re-Sign with Sandringham

Sandringham Football Club is thrilled to announce the re-signing of two key VFLW talents, Piper Phelan and Chloe Saultry, ahead of the upcoming 2025 season.

Piper Phelan

Joining us from Queensland ahead of the 2024 season, Piper Phelan made an instant impact with her toughness, speed and footy IQ. The 20-year-old boasts a stellar junior resume, including seven Best & Fairest Awards and two Runner-Up B&Fs at Palm Beach Currumbin, as well as a Rising Star nod at Bond University AFC in 2021. A 2023 Bond University premiership player and a product of the Gold Coast Suns Academy in the Coates Talent League, Phelan’s transition into VFLW footy was seamless.

Her growth across last season was impressive, and she’s only just getting started. Expect her to be a key part of Sandringham’s side this year.

Chloe Saultry

returning for another year is Chloe Saultry, a composed and reliable defender who continues to show leadership beyond her years. The 22-year-old is a former Sandringham Dragon and Southern Saint, having played 11 games for the Southern Saints in 2024, she is a key player in our backline. Saultry brings lockdown ability, rebound run, and plenty of voice behind the ball. Saultry has been improving year by year, demonstrated by her key performances in round 6 and 13 last year where she had a career high 14 kicks during both of these matches.

We can't wait to see Piper and Chloe in the yellow, black and blue this season!
