05/05/2026
The Sandringham Football Club is excited to confirm that Charlotte Hewitson has officially signed with the Zebs for the 2026 VFLW season.
Hewitson, originally from the Dandenong Stingrays in the Coates Talent League Girls competition, has quickly established herself as a hard-working and competitive defender at the Zebs. Standing at 163cm, she is known for her courage, clean decision-making, and ability to impact contests through strong defensive pressure and composed ball use.
Across her Coates Talent League Girls career, Hewitson played a key role for the Stingrays, finishing with 306 disposals and 90 tackles across the 2024 and 2025 seasons. Her consistency, work rate, and ability to read the play have been standout features of her game, along with her willingness to compete in every contest.
In 2025, Hewitson also made her VFLW debut with Sandringham through the Coates/VFLW pathway, gaining valuable experience at senior level. She showed promising signs with her defensive intent and commitment to team-first football, continuing to adapt to the pace and physicality of the competition.
Hewitson spoke on her signing,
āIām incredibly grateful to be part of the Zebs this year ā looking forward to growing my skills, game and contributing to the team in any way I can both on and off the field.ā
We look forward to seeing Charlotte at the Zebs in 2026!
