Boyd elevated to VFLW list
09/07/2026
The Sandringham Football Club is excited to confirm that train-on player Jacinta Boyd has been elevated to our VFLW list for the remainder of the 2026 VFLW season.
After developing with the Sandringham Dragons in the Coates Talent League Girls competition, Boyd established herself as a versatile and reliable utility player. She has shown the ability to impact games at both ends of the ground through her willingness to compete in every contest and strong work rate.
Across her Coates Talent League Girls career, Boyd collected 223 disposals, 72 tackles and 37 marks across the 2023 and 2024 seasons. Her 2024 campaign saw her average 11 disposals per game while showcasing her versatility across multiple positions. Her composure with ball in hand and ability to adapt to different roles made her an important contributor throughout her junior career.
Boyd then signed with the Zebras ahead of the 2025 season and returned as a train-on player in 2026.
Her flexibility to play as a defender or provide a strong target inside 50, combined with her competitive nature and team-first approach, has been a consistent strength as she continues her development.
Boyd spoke on her signing,
“I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity and am keen to make the most of it. I love being part of this club and can’t wait to continue developing and growing with this group”
We look forward to seeing Jacinta in action in 2026!
