Ben Hopkins becomes a Zeb

The Sandringham Football Club is excited to welcome Ben Hopkins to the Zebras for the 2026 season!

Joining us from North Melbourne’s VFL program, Hopkins featured in six VFL games this year after making his debut in round one. Averaging 15 disposals, his best performance came in round three against the Sydney Swans, where he had 21 disposals and took eight marks in an impressive display.

A product of the Dandenong Stingrays in the Coates Talent League, Hopkins is a composed half-back with strong running ability and sharp ball use. Known for reading the game well and his intercepting skill, he provides both defensive stability and attacking drive from the back line.

Hopkins said,

“I’m extremely stoked to be a part of the club and very grateful for this opportunity. I can’t wait to get amongst it with everyone.”

We’re looking forward to seeing Ben in the yellow, black, and blue in 2026!
