The Sandringham Football Club play in the Victorian Football League which is regarded as the best competition in Australia outside the AFL and are aligned with the St Kilda Football Club (AFL).
Sandringham is a strong family and community club with a commitment to delivering excellence on and off the field. Generations of families from the Bayside region continue to support the football club and come along to the Beach Road oval. Located in a prime beachside oval on Beach Road, Sandringham has the enviable attraction of considerable exposure for sponsors with 28,000 cars passing by each day and 9,000 cyclists on weekends.
Sandringham Football Club have enjoyed success over a long period of time. In the past 20 years they have played in 8 grand finals and won 7 premierships including winning flags in 2004, 2005 and 2006. We are very confident that 2018 and beyond will again be a very successful period for the Club.
Channel 7 will again be televising the match of the round of the VFL home and away season, as well as the finals and Grand Final. The VFL broadcasts proved popular once again on Channel 7 with average viewers 72,000 across the home-and-away season and finals, culminating in a VFL-record average audience of 259,000 – with a peak of 420,000 - for the 2017 Grand Final.
